The Role: Remote Contract LPN (Part-Time to Near Full-Time)
This is a 1099 position with flexibility to start part-time and grow your hours toward near-full-time based on your availability and company need. You will be directly contracted, supported, and paid by Empo.
Compensation:
$27.00 per hour

Training and Schedule Ramp-Up: We utilize a gradual onboarding schedule to ensure a smooth transition:
Initial Training: Approximately 5 hours per week during the initial training period.
First Month: Hours will increase to approximately 10 hours per week.
Long-Term: We aim for hours to ramp up closer to 20 hours per week within a couple of months, allowing you to establish a strong side income.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Monitoring & Triage: Daily review of patient data (foot images, weight) from the Empo Remote Health Link web portal. Triage and escalate critical findings to supervising physicians or patients promptly.
Patient Engagement: Conduct routine patient check-ins and adherence reminders (for a caseload up to 50 patients initially), ensuring meticulous documentation is completed for each interaction (required for RPM billing/documentation).
Tech Support & Documentation: Provide support for patients regarding their Empo devices. Ensure timely resolution, detailed support, and accurate documentation of all interactions.
Clinical Collaboration: Professionally communicate with physicians/podiatrists regarding monitoring data and patient status.

We Are Looking for Tech-Forward LPNs Who:
License & Location: Must be an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and hold a license in Virginia. Candidates must be based near the Roanoke/Blacksburg, VA area.
Tech Proficiency: Are highly tech-savvy and proficient with digital tools, cloud software, and online portals—you must be comfortable with documentation and system usage beyond basic office software.
Experience: Have experience working with diabetic patients.
Skills: Possess excellent communication skills and can quickly learn new clinical protocols.
Equipment:
Must have a reliable laptop capable of running modern software and browsers.
Bonus Qualifications (Highly Preferred): LPNs experience with diabetic foot complications, or prior telehealth/RPM experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
