Job Description

Manufacturing Operator

Controls or operates machinery or equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging, and other steps along a production line. May be expected to handle heavy machinery.

Responsibilities

  • A lot of monitoring and measuring of processes.
  • There will be packaging, transfer from tank to tank.
  • Daily samples and interaction between shipping, QC and maintenance departments.
  • Must be able to work 8-12 hour shifts when required.
  • Must be able to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays when required.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma/GED.
  • Computer knowledge.
  • 2-4 years of manufacturing experience or chemical experience, construction, mechanical, farm/agricultural experience preferred.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Be in good general health and must be medically certifiable to wear respiratory protection.
  • Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. without mechanical assistance.
  • Be physically able to perform job duties.
  • Possess good degree of manual dexterity.
  • Ability to perform duties with minimum of supervision.
  • Ability to observe, record and analyze process information.
  • Able to read and interpret instruments, gauges, etc.
  • Able to communicate and understand operating information.
