Aerotek is hiring a welder/fabricator for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Responsibilities include performing MIG and stick welding on various metals, positioning, fitting, aligning, and welding products as per specifications and engineering drawings, fitting and grinding manufactured parts using quality instruments to ensure accuracy, primarily performing MIG welding with occasional TIG or stick welding, collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth production flow and quality assurance, utilizing prints to fit components, measuring and cutting as needed, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Essential skills include proficiency in MIG welding and knowledge of weld symbols, the ability to pass a weld test, 2-5 years of welding experience in manufacturing or related fields, and a high school diploma or GED.

Work environment includes positions on both the 2nd and 3rd shifts, with potential overtime on weekends. The 2nd shift runs Monday to Friday from 2:00 to 10:30 pm, and the 3rd shift runs Monday to Friday from 10:30 pm to 6:30 am. Overtime may be required for 2nd shift every other Saturday. The facility is temperature-controlled, clean, and well-organized. While uniforms are available, you may wear your own work clothes, such as jeans or work pants, short-sleeved shirts, and steel-toe boots. Some tasks require cut-resistant gloves. Hearing and eye protection are mandatory, as certain areas of the plant are loud.
Job type and location: This is a permanent position based out of Lexington, TN. The pay range for this position is $46800.00/yr.
