Job Description

We are a busy, loving family seeking a reliable, caring, and trustworthy sitter/nanny to help care for our two children, ages 8 and 9. Both kids are very mature, well-behaved, and independent. They love people, follow directions well, and are easy to engage with. We are looking for someone who will not only supervise them but also feel like an addition to our family. This position requires flexibility. There will be periods when we need coverage from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Sunday through Saturday. The length of these periods can vary—sometimes lasting one week, and other times up to one month, depending on the demands of my work schedule. I will always keep you updated as far in advance as possible so you can plan accordingly. Compensation: $16/hour Responsibilities Include: Providing attentive, kind, and patient supervision for an 8- and 9-year-old Engaging with the kids, keeping them safe, and ensuring they stay on routine Light assistance as needed during evening hours (reminders for showers, bedtime routines, etc.) Creating a positive, supportive environment in our home Communicating clearly with me about any needs, concerns, or schedule changes What You Won’t Need to Do: No meal preparation — meals are prepared in advance, and the kids know how to warm up their own food and fix their plates No heavy cleaning or household duties outside of normal tidying related to the kids Who We’re Looking For: Someone dependable, punctual, and comfortable with a varying schedule Someone warm, respectful, and family-oriented who genuinely enjoys working with children A person who can become a consistent, trusted support for our family when work demands increase If you are caring, flexible, and want to be part of a home where you feel valued, we would love to hear from you.
