As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Officer in Miami, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Armed Security Professional, where you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a secure environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for unusual activity and report security-related concerns to the appropriate authorities and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Interact professionally with the public, visitors, and staff at the location, offering assistance and information as needed.
  • Follow post orders and directives specific to the government environment, including access control and visitor screening as required.
  • Participate in emergency preparedness drills and support emergency response efforts as directed.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed logs of patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Must possess a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate's degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
