Job Description

About LangChain

LangChain was founded in early 2023 to help developers build context-aware reasoning applications. LangChain, open source software, is a framework that gives developers the building blocks to create production-ready applications with LLMs. LangSmith is our commercial, all-in-one SaaS platform that enables the end-to-end, development workflow for building LLM-powered apps. LangSmith is now trusted by the best teams building with LLMs, at companies such as Airbnb, ByteDance, Klarna, Google, Meta, Home Depot, and our 80+ paying enterprise customers.

Backed by some of the best venture capitalists, Benchmark and Sequoia, we have 10x’d our revenue last year and have big ambitions and are set up to build an enduring business.

About the role

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will oversee Talent and People Operations. You'll build and lead LangChains talent function during a critical growth phase. You'll develop and implement comprehensive talent strategies that enable us to attract, develop, and retain exceptional team members while fostering a high-performance culture aligned with our values.

We’re looking for someone to take full ownership of how we hire and onboard great people and making sure every new joiner is set up for success.

Longer-term, depending on your interests, this role could grow well beyond recruitment. If you’re excited about shaping how performance, onboarding, culture, and other people topics at a fast-growing company, those opportunities will open up over time. In person role.

  • This role will own and scale all aspects of People, from talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, compliance, and org design.

  • Reporting to the CEO and co-founder, you’ll work closely with the leadership team to shape our people and talent strategy to support rapid growth in 2025 and beyond.

  • Design and execute full-cycle recruiting strategies to identify, attract, and hire top talent across engineering, product, sales, and operations.

  • Build scalable onboarding processes that quickly integrate new hires and set them up for success.

  • Develop and implement competitive compensation structures, benefits programs, and performance management systems.

  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions.

How to be successful in this role

  • 7+ years of Talent experience, with experience at high-growth startups.

  • Deep expertise in talent acquisition, including sourcing strategies, interview processes, and closing candidates.

  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance requirements.

  • Experience designing and implementing compensation and benefits programs.

  • Oversee the development of scalable HR operations, from leveling, compensation frameworks, reward structures and benefits.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build trust at all levels.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary and equity stake for role and stage of company. Commensurate with experience.

  • Annual salary range: $180,000 - $220,000
