Position Overview The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for electrical projects in the commercial construction sector. This role involves analyzing project plans, specifications, and other documents to develop detailed estimates that meet client and company standards.
Key Responsibilities - Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical projects based on project specifications and requirements.
- Review and analyze project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and materials required.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices in electrical construction.
- Identify and quantify all direct and indirect costs associated with electrical projects.
- Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations for potential clients.
- Manage and update the estimating database with new costs and market trends.
Qualifications - Proven experience as an Estimator, specifically in electrical estimating within the commercial construction industry.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools, with advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills to accurately assess project costs.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to work effectively with clients and team members.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
