Job Overview – Electrical Estimator:

Compensation: $100,000 – $190,000/year

Location: Cumberland County, NJ

Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)

Atlantic Group is hiring an Electrical Estimator in Cumberland County, NJ with our client, preparing accurate cost estimates for healthcare, institutional, and railroad projects. You will review technical plans, collaborate with project managers and engineers, and deliver competitive bids that drive profitability and market growth. This role is ideal for experienced estimators with a strong background in complex electrical construction.

Responsibilities as the Electrical Estimator:

  • Project Estimation: Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for healthcare, institutional, and complex electrical projects.
  • Document Review: Analyze blueprints, plans, and scopes of work to develop comprehensive and precise assessments.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to incorporate all cost components.
  • Cost Analysis: Monitor labor, materials, and subcontractor pricing trends, with emphasis on healthcare-related work.
  • Bid Support: Contribute to bid meetings, client presentations, and negotiations to secure new projects.
  • Performance Tracking: Evaluate past project data to improve accuracy, efficiency, and profitability of future estimates.

Qualifications for the Electrical Estimator:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: 5-10 years of electrical estimating experience, specializing in medical, healthcare, or railroad projects.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite, with strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and standards, particularly in medical environments.
  • Skills & Attributes: Highly analytical with excellent organizational, communication, and time-management abilities, demonstrating strong attention to detail and a deadline-driven approach.
