PIX11 News is seeking a meticulous and motivatedDigitalContentComplianceCoordinatorto support a special project focused on auditing copyrighted videocontentacross ourdigitalplatforms. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented with a solid understanding ofdigitalpublishing and enthusiasm for local news and social media. This is a temporary, part?time contract position.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with theDigitalExecutive Producer to audit videos posted to PIX11s website and social media platforms to ensurecompliancewith Nexstars copyright policy.
• Conduct a comprehensive review of video and multimedia assets across PIX11sdigitalplatforms to ensure allcontentmeets Nexstars copyright and usage policies.
• Verify third?party licensing agreements, usage rights, and expiration dates for archived and newly publishedcontent.
• Support the removal or replacement of non?compliantcontentin a timely manner to minimize legal exposure.
• Maintain detailed tracking spreadsheets to document audit findings, actions taken, and outstanding issues.
• Provide weekly reports to theDigitalExecutive Producer summarizing progress, trends, andcomplianceimprovements.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in journalism, communications, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
• 12 years of experience in adigitalnewsroom, media organization, orcontentmanagement role with exposure to rights management orcomplianceworkflows.
• Familiarity withcontentmanagement systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Akta, or similar platforms used in newsroom environments.
• Comfortable navigating social media analytics dashboards and platform upload tools, including Meta Business Suite, YouTube Studio, and TikTok Creator.
• Ability to quickly assess whethercontentis original, licensed, user-generated, or syndicated.
• Knowledge of fair use, copyright basics, and attribution standards in a journalism context is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time?management skills with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast?paced environment.

Hourly rate: $23+
