Our team is looking for passionate and outgoing canvassers to go door-to-door and speak with voters in Elizabeth, New Jersey. In this position, you will use systems such as MiniVan to canvass neighborhoods and communities to collect research data. This campaign is committed to electing Democrats through grassroots efforts modeled after 1-on-1 conversations, research, and ACTION!

This position is an entry-level position with no experience required. Training will be provided. All applicants must possess reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. Flexible schedules and multiple shifts are available.

Duties and responsibilities

• Door-to-door canvassing

• Walking neighborhoods and talking to voters at their doors

• Accurate tracking of contact data on a daily basis using MiniVAN

• Communicate daily with your supervisor about your shifts and availability

• Daily check-ins with the supervisor
• Other tasks as assigned by the Field Director and Field Organizers

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills

• Be honest, detail-oriented, and able to follow instructions.
• Work outside in various weather conditions
• Comfortable with technology and able to accurately record data
• Route planning and critical thinking skills.

Requirements:

• 18+ years old

• Bilingual - Spanish preferred
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Smartphone required with access to data usage
• Has access to reliable transportation
• Available 12+ hours a week
