Cabinet Finisher

Location: Portland, OR 97220

Paying: $23 - $28 / HR

Join a commercial cabinet shop as an experienced Finisher/Painter to enhance high-end retail stores and architectural millwork for casinos and other hospitality and gaming venues. Your expertise in staining, painting, and finishing store fixtures and displays will be essential.

Responsibilities:

• Stain, paint, and finish (topcoat) store fixtures and displays.
• Read and interpret blueprints or drawings to determine the necessary parts for finishing.
• Utilize pneumatic spray finish equipment and related hand tools efficiently.
• Mix stain, lacquer, and paint to achieve the desired finish.
• Perform masking, sanding, and blending techniques.
• Lift and handle materials up to 50lbs.
• Undertake special projects as required.
• Demonstrate reliability and good communication skills.
• Promote the highest level of professionalism and ethics.

Qualifications:

• Forklift experience is a bonus.
• Metal prep and painting experience is advantageous.

Environment / Shift:

• Work in a spacious, clean, and safe woodworking shop with a relaxed and supportive environment. This is a well-established and stable company offering high-end products, with a spacious, clean, and safe shop environment, a relaxed atmosphere, and a supportive manager who values autonomy and avoids micromanagement.
• Day shift: Monday - Friday 6am-2:30pm.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
