At a Glance Are you engaging, organized, and patient with a penchant for hospitality? Join us as a Brand Ambassador for Visa at Best Buy's Holiday Leadership Meeting in Columbus! In this role, you'll help create an unforgettable experience for guests through activities like greeting and directing attendees, recording guest information, crowd control, and handing out giveaways. You will be working at the Columbus Convention Center from 7:30am-12:45pm on Wednesday, October 8th. Paid training and light set-up and staging of the event space will take place in the first hour of your shift. You will also be required to attend a 1-hour paid training call prior to the event; date and time TBD. What You'll Do Provide best-in-class experience for event attendees through greeting and direct guests, managing lines, distributing promotional items and giveaways, and answering questionsUtilize a provided iPad to complete guest registration and assist with troubleshooting as neededAssist in light set-up, staging, and maintaining the cleanliness of the event space before and during the eventOther duties as assigned by management & client What You'll Bring Experience and Education:High School Degree or equivalent requiredProven experience in customer service and/or event workSkills and Attributes:Access to a smartphone (iPhone or Android)Strong interpersonal communication – written & verbalEngaging personality; comfortable consistently initiating and maintaining conversations with a diverse audienceOrganizational and problem-solving skillsAble to show patience when communicating with team members, the client, and event attendeesAble to work well in a team environmentAble to exhibit a positive and professional demeanor at all times Physical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
