BGSF has partnered with a financial planning firm in Dallas area seeking to hire Associate with unique path to partial ownership within the firm!

In summary, the firm is looking for a CPA who is interested in tax, financial planning, desire to broaden experience, and grow to become partial Owner.

Work Model: 30-35 hours/weekly with schedule of Mon-Fri in office 8:00am-3:00pm

What you will do:

This role will be involved in client development, foster/deepen client relationships, attend client meetings to discuss financial plans and tax issues, handle tax work/planning, possible IRS compliance work/audits, and become integrated into financial planning.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree
• CPA
• CFP (Certified Financial Planner) considered a plus; if not, then a CPA who enjoys tax work and is interested in branching out to Financial Planning (to help review and implement financial plans) and is willing to pursue obtaining CFP
• 3-5+ years of experience with knowledge of preparing personal and business tax returns (can come from financial planning/wealth management shop or straight public accounting). Preference towards experience to do corporate tax/partnership, but mostly individual tax.
• Working knowledge and interest in investment portfolios and insurance products a huge plus.

Extras:

• The firm has training available in the financial planning area to help ramp up knowledge in this area.
• Personality and people skills are CRITICAL as this role will have heavy communication with current and future clients.
